a Goal for 2008 - health

Here's a health goal for 2008, actually 3:

1. Try to go to sleep nightly before 11 pm - hard for a nighthawk
2. Lose 20 pounds
3. Exercise at least 3 times a week

I'm wondering how to track this.

Of course the other question is, what weight should I use as the start weight? I think I'll put the weight I remember weighing in near the beginning of the year.

Regards,

Back in November I set a goal to gain back some weight I had lost since leaving the army. When I was in the army I was in the gym almost every day sometimes more than once a day. I wanted to try and bulk back up. To track my weight I follow a few simple rules:
1. don't weigh yourself every day. once every 3 days is more than enough
2. Don't worry about silly things like shoes on or off. just be consistant.
3. Weigh yourself at the same time of the day using the same scale.
4. Make sure the scale is zeroed out properly..Meaning, when your not standing on it the number says zero.
5. What you do in the gym is not as important as what you do outside..i.e. your eating habbits.
