back on line

Life has been incredibly chaotic and hectic.
Joint venture I've been running worked out well, is launched and about ready to move on to next major mission.
Am a bit sick of the politics.
Also sick of 18 hour days.
At leaset I've gotten some recognition for the hard work.
One of the big sacrifices was inability to blog.
Looks like i have more time to do so now.
Thanks to the many that sent me messages asking where we were.
We're back now.

Some major activities on the plate:
1. sell old house - what a market!
2. re-engage financial planner
3. reconcile furnishing new house with saving plans

any advice on the above.

regards, makingourway

Glad to see that you are back!

What we did four months ago to sell our house is VERY aggressive pricing. Our price is more than 5% lower than comparable houses and we offer very good closing costs payments. And we really declutter the house to the minimum and clean, clean, more clean!

I'm very glad to be back.
The challenge was more one of getting the situation under control.
Constant C-level meetings, presentations, politics, etc... in the F500 can really wear one down.
The level of preparation required and the lack of tolerance for any errors is amazing - like tightwalking without a net.
We've lowered the price of our house by $25k, it's still not selling, but that may just be the risk and challenge of a rural area.
I'm wondering if we'll get any principal out of it.
