I guess living in a small town means you're more likely to wait long periods of time for your internet connection to be serviced.
Frankly, it's very frustrating. I spent 6 days off-line.
My only form of access was through my telephone and the screen was too small to do much.
Here are some of the topics I'll cover soon:
Networth update for the month of May ...wow...I took some heavy hits - I'm assuming most of my PF Blog colleagues also took some hits. Overall, the drop in investments set me behind about two months - I'm hoping they spring back.
Home improvement projects - we've started the landscaping projects and some carpentry work (for book cases and working space in the laundry room). Neither tradesman has completed his job -- we haven't been billed while we're waiting for them to finish.
Notes on south african wines. I'm going to a wine tasting. Will let you know what I experience.
That's about it for now.
Will post more this weekend.

I hate when that kind of stuff happens. I used to live out in the sticks and we'd lose electricity for days at a time. Nice blog, this is my first visit. Take it easy.
tim,
the fellow who installed our original internet connection didn't connect several brackets tightly... things came undone, we lost our connection.
We also tend to lose electricity for a few hours every week during the summers.
The pain of living in the stick!
Thanks for the thoughts,
