I pulled five boxes of books from my storage unit. Unpacked 4 of them. 3 of the 4 fit perfectly into my book cases. The fourth box will have to find a home elsewhere in my house -- or I'll need to reorganize my boxes.
I currently have a backlog of organization projects:
1. replacement router (gigabit) 16 port
2. one simpleshare 400 gb network shared hard drive (to replace my file server that died in the move)
3. two file cabinets waiting to be built
4. one media cabinet - to hold all those cd-roms, etc....
The network shared hard drive really has to be done today, as I don't have a current (daily backup) in place right now.
Otherwise I have 12 boxes left. I need to open them up and figure out which will go to charity, which into the attic (plastics, things that won't be bothered by humidity) and which go into air conditioned storage.
I saved most of the moving boxes we unpacked and put them in the storage unit. Hopefully they'll be usable for the next move. There are a few other thing that would do better there.

Good luck on your unpacking. Unfortunately we've had several company relocations and I can attest to the fact that it never gets any better. Worse yes, better no.
apollo,
thanks. I'm hoping i can shed and donate at least 1/3 of what's in storage. that will lower my moving and storage costs and give me tax benefits. it will also restore som sanity.
here's a question, would you:
save your primary data to the network attached storage and back it open to an external drive nightly or do the reverse?
