Every few months my family experiences an explosion of redecoration.
We do not have a large amount of wall art, but enough to spend lots of time moving things around.
Picture hanging becomes an active skill in our house and I'm glad we have our standard picture hanging kit - though I do wish we could find an inexpensive source of brass picture hanging hooks and nails.
Over the last year we've begun to question the traditional wisdom that placing a piece of scotch tape over the x before you insert the nail will prevent cracks in paint while hammering.
What we've learned is that paint my not fall off, however, when you remove the tape, a larger hole often appears.
