Let's start with the basics:
apartment to rent $1400 (semi furnished - furnished is $3500 - $5000)
rented beds $260
rent 2 cars $1700
Groceries and basic shopping $400 - little necessities
Airfare $800
$4,560 before dinners, dancing and special events!
That's quite a bit, but now compare this to a trip to europe - is it really that out of line?
With several kids in tow, not really.
But you don't have the pleasure of european architecture, foreign languages and foreign foods.
We'll have to continue this idea later. Of course the most important factor is that working daddy gets to see the rest of his family sometimes.
