more hints on buying a mattress for an antique bed

What a suprise, it's too small!

Apparently the factory did not cut the mattress to the right length. Consequently our dealer came to the house, personally measured the bed frame and is re-ordering a new mattress - excellent service.

One thing that is interesting is that many old beads have blocking along the side panels of the bed frame. We are unsure of their purpose, but the dealer suspects they may have been used by the old spring systems.

We get to use the mattress set until the replacement arrives.

At least customer service is good!

Have a wonderful weekend,
